Minor update...

Been distracted a bit lately...got sucked back into minis for a bit, but here's a tweaked version of the beast hunter.  A bit more in the direction i wanna take him

Ogre Beast-Hunter

After way too much doodling, of got my Ogre beast-hunter going along.  I wanted to stay away from the normal fantasy fare...stick with brutal, but not brutish. I'm trying to push my costume designs a bit more, in particular to push the story-telling of the character.  Might refine it a bit more, but it's hitting the level of tribal sophistication I was trying to find.

I've got some other parts of his design (ie:  his companions!) started so i'll post those once I get them to a good place.

Looking forward to fleshing this guy out!

Polypaint Hoooo!

Complete nerdgasm tonight...I just discovered that xNormal can now bake vertex color data straight from the OBJ file.  Holy shit.  Got so excited that I had to do some premature polypainting. Time to get back on that horse!

Anyone know if zBrush has a color picker now...or are they seriously still expecting me to select every color by hand?

Havent had much time to get something spruced up for posting, so here's some process stuff I did for the character class I did a while ago.  Loved getting practice with thumbnails, as it's something I always fight with. Real new stuff is coming soon...promise.  Enjoy!

Banged this guy up using some of the new zB features, in particular, Remesh.  Started him from a sphere and kept remeshing and projecting.  Added appendages with zSpheres, baked em down and remeshed the whole thing together, which makes for a great non-linear workflow for working without a basemesh.  Honestly, i barely see the need for basemeshes anymore...badass!

Kinda just jammed on this guy, so i didnt really have plans for him, but i might finish him out as a full char...just gotta decide wtf hes supposed to be first.
