Havent had much time to get something spruced up for posting, so here's some process stuff I did for the character class I did a while ago. Loved getting practice with thumbnails, as it's something I always fight with. Real new stuff is coming soon...promise. Enjoy!
Banged this guy up using some of the new zB features, in particular, Remesh. Started him from a sphere and kept remeshing and projecting. Added appendages with zSpheres, baked em down and remeshed the whole thing together, which makes for a great non-linear workflow for working without a basemesh. Honestly, i barely see the need for basemeshes anymore...badass!
Kinda just jammed on this guy, so i didnt really have plans for him, but i might finish him out as a full char...just gotta decide wtf hes supposed to be first.
Some face practise and studies. I'd like to stick to doing one of these a day, but im still a bit slow. My plan for my next 3d model is to redesign a very old character of mine, Nixetta Tarian, and I'm gonna try to go about it the right way. This means ref gathering and studies before I jump in for the final concept.
